Individual Therapy

Individual therapy is a confidential, one-on-one space where you can explore your thoughts, emotions, and experiences with a trained clinical psychologist. It’s designed to help you better understand yourself, navigate life’s challenges, and develop healthier ways of coping. Whether you're facing anxiety, depression, relationship issues, trauma, or simply feeling stuck, therapy offers a supportive environment tailored to your unique needs. Together, we’ll work at your pace to uncover patterns, build resilience, and empower you to make meaningful changes—no judgment, just compassionate guidance.

“My Daughter is nine years old and I reached out to a trained individual to help me with a number of anxieties that she was having. I met Ann and instantly knew she would help, she was soft, kind and caring whilst obtaining vital information for helping my Daughter. Not only did she support and guide my Daughter she also helped myself. I would highly recommend Ann and would not hesitate to go back if in time we needed her again” Parent of a 9 year old girl.

Parent Support

When a child or young person is struggling with psychological difficulties, it can leave parents and carers feeling overwhelmed, confused, and isolated. Having worked extensively with families—and as a parent myself—I deeply understand the importance of supporting those who care for the child, not just the child alone. Too often, services focus solely on the young person, leaving parents in the dark about what their child is experiencing and how best to help. I offer dedicated parent support to bridge that gap: a space where you can gain clarity, ask questions, and feel empowered in your role. Together, we’ll explore what’s happening beneath the surface and develop practical, compassionate ways to support your child—and yourself—through their journey.

Adoptive and Foster Families

Parenting a child who is adopted or fostered brings unique joys—and often, complex emotional challenges. As a clinical psychologist with experience supporting families through these journeys, I offer a space where parents and carers can explore the impact of early trauma, attachment difficulties, identity development, and the dynamics that can arise in adoptive or foster families. This support is not about judgment or blame—it’s about understanding your child’s needs more deeply, making sense of their behaviours, and strengthening your confidence as a caregiver. Together, we’ll work to build a nurturing environment that supports healing, connection, and resilience for both you and your child’

Training

I am a highly regarded PACE trainer, being an Approved PACE trainer by DDP Connects UK. I have trained thousands of people, ranging from foster carers, adoptive parents, and residential support workers to teachers, speech and language therapists, social workers and psychiatrists. I provide training in an Introduction to PACE which usually takes one day but for those who are stretched for time it can be compacted to a few hours or for those looking for something more thorough it can be expanded to 2 days or the Foundations for Attachment Course might be the most suitable.

Ann you truly believe in a second/third/tenth chance for children. It is infectious. I have been influenced by your fantastic presentation, to start using a PACE approach with children and their parents I see everyday right a way. Brilliant! I'm going to find out more about PACE. Thank you for your time today.
